 Jeff Havener, MBA, AICP, NC-Licensed GC & Broker 

 With more than 28 years of experience across planning, development, construction, and real estate, I founded Oak City Development to offer a uniquely integrated advisory practice — rooted in engineering expertise, planning insight, and long-term value creation. 

My background includes civil-engineering training, an MBA with a real estate concentration, and licensure as a general contractor and real estate broker — along with certification as an AICP planner.

Over my career I’ve overseen the delivery of  $800 M+ in residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments throughout the Triangle and broader Mid-Atlantic region. From master-planned communities to boutique infill, adaptive reuse, and community-oriented projects, my work bridges vision and execution — grounded by resilience, smart land use, and sustainable infrastructure. 

I approach development with a people-first mindset, focusing on site feasibility and entitlement strategy, infill and adaptive-reuse concept development, owner representation and pre-development oversight, and strategic advisory services that align financial, community, and urban-design goals. 

 Oak City Development is a project-selective, strategically scaled practice that intentionally complements my full-time executive leadership role — allowing me to provide hands-on guidance and intentional stewardship for neighborhood-scale, community-focused projects.
